A brand kit you can ship is smaller than a brand book
Early products need a name treatment, a symbol, and the icon sizes the product will actually display. They do not yet need a motion system, a photography style, or a forty-page guidelines PDF. A kit that tries to be all of that on day one is usually a template with your name dropped in.
IconCreator’s version of a brand kit is that starter set, made from one brief and one style so the pieces belong together. The wordmark, the symbol, and the app or favicon glyph come from the same lane. You export SVG for the masters and PNG for the places that need a bitmap.
Color systems, packaging, and campaign layouts can wait until the mark is stable. Generating them first freezes decoration around a logo you have not committed to.

One brief for every piece
The logo run and the icon run should share the brand name, the audience, and the style. If you write a new personality for the icon, you will get a second brand.

Lock the mark before the extras
Choose the wordmark and the symbol first. Social avatars, store tiles, and favicons are reductions of those, not new concepts. Reductions are faster and they stay recognizable.

A short palette
One background, one foreground, and one accent is enough to launch a site and a deck. A twelve-color system is a later problem, and it hides a weak silhouette.

Name the exports. Wordmark SVG, symbol SVG, horizontal lockup, app icon 1024, favicon SVG. A folder of “final-final-2.png” is not a kit.
