App Store Screenshot Sizes (2026): iPhone, iPad, iPhone Duo and Header Art
Short answer
You need at least one iPhone screenshot at 1179×2556 or 1206×2622 (iPhone with Dynamic Island, medium). If your app runs on iPad, add one at 2064×2752 or 2048×2732. Upload 1 to 10 per size as JPG or PNG with no transparency. Smaller devices are scaled from these. iPhone Duo screenshots become required in April 2027, and iOS 27 adds optional header and search result art.

Header and search result art (iOS 27)
On iOS 27 and iPadOS 27, the top of your product page can show a header image or video, and search results can show a separate image or video. They also appear when Apple features your app. Without a search asset, search shows your In-App Events, app previews and screenshots.

- Keep the focal point in the center and key details inside the safe area of Apple's templates (Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, Pixelmator).
- No transparency.
- Videos loop. In search they play muted and can't be unmuted, so they must work without sound.

Up to three previews can show in search. They autoplay muted, so make the first seconds count, use real app footage, and loop cleanly.
What Apple recommends
- Show the app in use, not just title art.
- Lead with your best feature; order the set as one story.
- If you add text, use a short phrase that adds to the image instead of describing it.
- Keep one style across the set: colors, fonts, icons, tone.
- Make every key element readable on a phone.
- Localize captions for each language you support.
- Don't fill a screenshot with awards or calls to action.
- Keep it suitable for a 4+ rating. No prices, discounts, URLs, copyright symbols, unverifiable claims, other platforms' logos or Apple awards like Editors' Choice.
How to capture them
- 01Run the app in the Simulator on an iPhone 16 (1179×2556) or iPhone 17 (1206×2622).
- 02Press ⌘S in the Simulator to save a full-resolution screenshot.
- 03For iPad, run a 13" iPad Pro or iPad Air simulator.
- 04Add frames or captions if you like; keep the final file at an accepted pixel size.
